I create art for myself.

Self-expression.
To turn my odd dreams into a slightly less odd reality.
Inspired by various forms of media that shaped me.
It's like a less invasive form of therapy where instead of sharing my deepest, darkest thoughts and feelings to a stranger, I display them to the eyes of many strangers in abstract forms that are difficult to describe with words.
It's tossing different parts of my soul out into the real world so it can get a bit of fresh air.
It'ss allowing my inner voice to be heard.
From chunks of my childhood to fragments of my young adulthood, it is simply me.
That's all I really want it to be.
I have no desire to stay within the lines and confines of arbitrary rules about what I create or why I create it.
I do it because I want to.
My methods and reasons are my own, and often times they are difficult to describe with words.
Their concepts are abstract and based on a jumbled subconscious that may make no sense in the moment, but after a while, I find that they were based on a deeper part of myself.
It's an expression of what's within that flashes for a brief moment, anger, whimsy, melancholy, but it disappears as quickly as it appeared.
The resulting work is symbolic of that flash.
